We absolutely respect the right of companies and individuals to legitimately protect their own innovations. However, patent trolls seek only to sue others for broad and exceptionally vague patents that they hold only for the purpose of filing patent lawsuits and extorting others. These tactics stifle innovation and force companies to spend money litigating instead of hiring workers or coming up with new, useful products and services.
